Remembering Scott Wirtz, St. Louis Hero

The recent bombing in Syria and death of four Americans has special meaning to the St. Louis business aviation community. Scott Wirtz is a native of the St Louis area and the son of Sandy Wirtz. Many of us know Sandy from her years of service in NBAA and most recently her contributions to the Educational Foundation and GSLBAA. Please keep Sandy and her family in your prayers as they deal with their loss.
Scott is scheduled to come home Saturday, January 26 around 1pm. He will be taken with a “Patriot” escort to the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home at 12444 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO. Visitation is planned on February 5 from 12:00-8:00pm. On February 6, Mass will be held in the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, 4431 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108 at 11:00am with visitation starting at 9:30am. Immediately following the Mass, burial, with full military honors, will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd., St Louis, MO. Following the burial a reception is tentatively planned at DeSmet Jesuit High School 233 N. New Ballas Rd, St Louis, MO.
