Our dear friend, Beverly Lehenbauer, passed away August 25th from cancer. Bev served as GSLBAA’s Administrator for more than 25 years starting in the early 1990’s. GSLBAA is hosting a Celebration of Life in her honor at Wings of Hope on November 2 from 3-6pm. Hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soft drinks will be served.
Below is a picture of Bev and Jim Rice. Jim owned Vision Aire and Bev worked for him. When GSLBAA started in 1978, it was a pilots only organization. Somewhere around 1990-1992, GSLBAA realized it had to open up the organization to everyone in business aviation if they wanted to survive. Around that time, Vision Aire went out of business and GSLBAA hired Bev. That is when GSLBAA really began to grow into the organization it is today. Few people really appreciate what Bev did for GSLBAA. It really wouldn’t be a stretch to say that she saved the organization!
“Bev wasn’t a part of GSLBAA, Bev was GSLBAA.”
Stop by and share your favorite memories and stories about Bev.
Please RSVP by noon on Tuesday, October 30th so we can plan accordingly.
